History of NPA Chernobyl rehab

The association was founded in Denmark in 2008. Initially, the organization united individual veterans of the Chernobyl disaster living in Western Europe.

When it was created, the organization was called Active Chernobyl.

Over time, the membership of the organization expanded to include Chernobyl veterans regardless of residence, as well as other veteran organizations and groups.

At the moment, work is underway to include those affected by other industrial disasters, primarily nuclear ones.

The organization was renamed to an association and additional names were defined.

In 2019, it was decided to use the "NPA Chernobyl Rehab" as the main name of the association.

In 2020, due to the international orientation of the association, English has been adopted as the main language for the documentation and communication. Some other languages are also available.
